AWESOME GOD

One of the things I love most in life is to worship. The late Rich Mullins (pictured left) had a handle on entering into the presence of the Lord.  This beautiful song is one of his most famous works.

Awesome God  In this video you will see the audience take control of the moment.  Michael W. Smith is leading a concert and the people begin the song before he does.  He is so gracious that he allows them to minister to the Lord and then he joins them in singing.  A priceless moment as the Spirit of the Lord moves. Hopefully you have experienced this great place of peace, joy and comfort.  Our God is truly and AWESOME GOD!   ENJOY!

 

God of Second Chances

I am on the mailing list of GodTube and received this link. I usually try to listen to all the new stuff they send out and was TOTALLY blown away by the Spirit of the Lord that was in this clip.

This guy (Carlos Whittaker) was shooting a music video when this Jamaican homeless guy (Danny) comes up. Danny takes a knee, begins to pray and weep then starts singing along by the Spirit in Reggae adding his own version to Carlos' song. FABULOUS. What a priceless move of the Spirit! One Jah (God), One Creator, One Father. Hallelujah in the highest praise! LOVE THIS! ENJOY!

AMAZING GRACE

The Lord has been so sweet and kind to me lately.  He woke me up again with another precious song.  This morning I could hear the lines, "My chains are gone.  I've been set free."  Do you know this?  Do you know that He has made the way to set you free?  I pray if you don't know Him, you will call out to Him.  So many know Him but don't walk in the freedom that He has provided.  I pray you find your place of freedom that ONLY comes in Him.  This song has ministered to me so many times.  I pray it will minister to you as well.  Amazing Grace

The Founder of Mothers Day

Anna Jarvis, the founder of Mothers Day, was born in Webster, Taylor County, West Virginia, on May 1, 1864, the ninth of eleven children born to Ann Marie and Granville Jarvis. The family moved to Grafton, four miles south of Webster, when Anna was a year and a half old. It was here that the future founder of Mothers Day spent her childhood, receiving her early education in public schools. In 1881, she enrolled at the Augusta Female Academy in Staunton, Virginia, now Mary Baldwin College. Upon finishing, Miss Jarvis returned to Grafton where she taught school for seven years.

From childhood, Anna Jarvis often heard her mother say that she hoped that someone would one day establish a memorial for all mothers, living and dead. One incident in particular was a driving force in keeping this wish alive. The incident occurred during a class prayer given by Mrs. Jarvis in the presence of her daughter, Anna, then age twelve, at the conclusion of Mrs. Jarvis' lesson on "Mothers of the Bible." She closed the lesson with the prayer "I hope that someone, sometime will found a memorial mothers day commemorating her for the matchless service she renders to humanity in every field of life. She is entitled to it." Anna never forgot that prayer, and at her mother's graveside service, Anna's brother Claude heard her recall that prayer and say "...by the grace of God, you shall have that Mothers Day."

After the death of her father in 1902, Anna Jarvis along with her mother and sister Lillie, had moved to Philadelphia to reside with her brother Claude. After her mother's death on May 9, 1905, Miss Jarvis began an intense campaign of fulfill the wish of her mother.

The Little Boy and the Old Man

25 years ago I read this poem by Shel Silverstein for the first time.  I thought about it the other day and found it again.  Just wanted to share it with you.

THE LITTLE BOY AND THE OLD MAN


Said the little boy, "Sometimes I drop my spoon."
Said the little old man, "I do that, too."
The little boy whispered, "I wet my pants."
"I do that, too!" Laughed the little old man.
Said the little boy, "I often cry."
The old man nodded, "So do I."
"But the worst of all," said the boy. .  .
"it seems grown-ups don't pay attention to me."
and he felt the warmth of a wrinkled old hand...

Lin Yu Chun Sings Whitney Houston

A Taiwanese boy Lin Yu Chun sings and incredible rendition of Whitney Houston's famous song entitled, I Will Always Love You.  Simply amazing.  If you close your eyes, you can hear Whitney but then you open your eyes and are a bit shocked!

Sesame Street Theme

So here is a totally random link regarding Sesame Street.  I just remember hearing this song over and over while I was little and then when my children were little.  As the years had passed it was clear that the show took on a political agenda rather than just sticking to the basic teachings of reading and math which made it famous.  Anyway, just a fun song from the past.
